Lookin' Good Mr. President!

I know that I've posted an Obama Box before- but be aware-this is not the same one! I finished this one about a week ago. As you can see, the 5 pieces are sewn together with a goldish-orangish colored yarn picked out because I knew how awesome it would look! This box is also significant because apparently it's the only Obama Box I haven't messed up. To make this one I had to go off a previous pattern which happened to be the last one I posted. It turns out that I did the hair wrong in different ways on all 4 sides! So for the first piece that I stitched this time, I had to go off the original online printout I have so as to make sure all the pieces look the same. Do you like the change?

{Velvety Delight}

This gorgeous, velvety creation was designed by Shirley Evers. The red colored-yarn looks so thick because I used double stitching instead of single stitching. The book said otherwise but if you look at the bottom, you can see how the box's design virtually would've looked. One would be able to see the through the yarn to the mesh which is a no-no for me! Although leaving the mesh bare can sometimes be tasteful, like the bottom for this box.I lined the insides with silver fabric to match the lines weaving diamonds on the red.The stuffing is just to keep the box's shape. The size of this box is approx. 7" by 5"by 3", just in case anyone's wondering :)
